A Castle Full of Cats Walkthrough (2024)

Developed by Devcats and published by Silesia Games, A Castle Full of Cats is a point and collect hidden item game.

Having 31 Achievements with 0 missables, the full completion should take you less than an hour. As such, the walkthrough will be fairly brief but comprehensive, primarily using images of completed levels for reference, as well as a supplementary video walkthrough.

The core gameplay is incredibly simple but here are some useful things to remember:

• You can press to zoom in and to zoom out at anytime.


• Pressing will reveal one unspotted cat; save this until the end when you might have 1 or 2 left to find.


• You can press at any time to view the map (once you have the map unlocked).


• The levels persist even if you leave, so if you get frustrated you can always move on then come back.


• Selecting a cat can sometimes be very precise, so make sure they are definitely highlighted before moving on.


• You will gather "upgrades" as you progress that will make it easier.

Before Starting:

The cat locations are fixed and should match up with the images provided, however if you get stuck at any point please feel free to consult the video guide:

Castle Courtyard:

Firstly, after you spawn in, collect the Crystal Ball. It be found immediately at the start of the game, directly in front of the castle on the cobbled path.

This will unlock:

Now get the 32 Hidden cats and 4 Secret cats in the Courtyard area.

This will unlock:

Main Hall:

Go inside the front entrance to the main hall and collect the Castle map on the plinth at the bottom of the screen, just right of centre.

This will unlock:

Now get the 50 Hidden cats and 8 Secret cats in the Main Hall.

This will unlock:

The Kitchen:

The door in the bottom middle will open up. Head into to reach the kitchen.

Now get the 25 hidden cats and the 5 Secret cats in the Kitchen.

This will unlock:

The Pantry:

Proceed through the door in the right of the kitchen to enter the pantry.

Open the sun window in the top right and interact with the cat to get the Star Key (one of seven required for an achievement).

Now get the 29 Hidden cats and 5 Secret cat in the Pantry and be sure to speak to Seth (the police cat) before leaving.

This will unlock:

The Backyard:

Return to the Main Hall and take the door to the bottom right which will now be open. In the backyard you will need to talk to Horus (he will give you the task of finding the hidden kittens) and Lino. Continue to the right and enter the Dungeon.

The Dungeons:

Start by getting the first Cell Key (there are 4 in total, all count towards the seven keys achievement).

Then Get the first Rescue Kitten.

Now get the 22 Hidden cats and 3 Secret cats in the Dungeons.

This will unlock:

Dungeon Cell 1:

Click on the first door from the left in the Dungeons. Immediately grab the second Cell Key from the vine on the right.

Now get the 10 Hidden cats and 3 Secret cats in Cell 1.

This will unlock:

Dungeon Cell 2:

Click on the second door from the left in the Dungeons.

Now get the 10 Hidden cats and 2 Secret cats in Cell 2.

This will unlock:

Dungeon Cell 3:

Click on the third door from the left in the Dungeons.

Now get the 10 Hidden cats and 2 Secret cats in Cell 3.

This will unlock:

Dungeon Cell 4:

Click on the far right door in the Dungeons.

Now get the 10 Hidden cats and 2 Secret cats in Cell 4.

This will unlock:

The Laboratory:

Return to the main hall and enter the doorway to the top left of the screen.

First collect the Graveyard Key from the Lab table.

Now get the 42 Hidden cats and 4 Secret cats in the Laboratory.

This will unlock:

The Graveyard:

Start by talking to Giovanni (the cat in the tree), then get rescue Kitten 2.

Then get the third Cell Key.

Now get the 32 Hidden cats and 5 Secret cats in the Graveyard.

This will unlock:

Before proceeding you will need to open a hidden passage by pressing a loose brick.

The Underground Corridor:

Go through the door opened by the secret switch. When in the Underground Corridor, first go to the far right and speak with Judy to get the Pantry Key, then get the third Rescue Kitten.

Now get the 28 Hidden cats in the Underground Corridor.

This will unlock:

The Mirror Passage:

First get the fourth Rescue Kitten.

Next get the fourth Cell Key.

Now get the 10 Hidden cats and 3 Secret cats in the Mirror Passage.

This will unlock:

Once the room is cleared interact with the cloth on the right wall to reveal a mirror, interact with it to unlock:

Return to Cell 3:

Now you have all the Cell Keys, return to the Dungeons Cell 3 and open the coffin to unlock Arcade Mode.

Return to Pantry:

Go back through the Kitchen into the Pantry. Use the Pantry Key given to you by Judy on the chest in the bottom right. This will give you Snacks.

The Library:

From the Main Hall, go through the door at the top right to enter the Library. Once inside get the Cathulu Key.

This will unlock:

Then save the fifth Rescue Kitten.

Now get the 40 Hidden cats and 8 Secret cats in the Library.

This will unlock:

When you have found everything, use the Star Key on the Saferoom entrance at the bottom of the central bookcase.

This will unlock:

The Saferoom:

Enter the Saferoom and get the 21 Hidden cats and 3 Secret cats.

This will unlock:

Return to the Underground Corridor:

Go back to Judy and give her the Snacks.

This will unlock:

Once Judy transports you across the river, use the Cathulu key to free Cathulu from their chains.

This will unlock:

The Bedroom

From the Main Hall, go through the central door on the upstairs floor to enter the Bedroom.

Inside the Bedroom, grab the Secret Map.

This will unlock:

Then grab the Eyes.

Now get the 39 Hidden cats and 5 Secret cats in the Bedroom.

(Note there is a hidden cat missing from the screenshot - at the far right of the screen at the bottom of the blinds).

This will unlock:

Return to the Saferoom:

Inside the Saferoom, use the eyes on the chest in the bottom right to unlock it and get the Crystal Ball Upgrade.

This will unlock:

The Trapdoor:

Inside the Bedroom, proceed through the Trapdoor in the floor (in front of the wardrobe).

Now get the 15 Hidden cats and 3 Secret cats in the Trapdoor.

This will unlock:

The Secret Trapdoor:

Use the cubby on the right hand wall of the Trapdoor to come down to the Secret Trapdoor.

Here you will get the sixth and final Rescue Kitten.

This will unlock:

Now get the 15 Hidden cats and 4 Secret cats in the Secret Trapdoor.

This will unlock two achievements:

The Basement:

Use the door in the Bedroom to proceed to the Basement. Here you will meet all the story cats.

This will unlock:

Then enter Fofino's chambers. A "boss" battle will ensue, during which you need to find 4 cats during a timer five times (you cannot fail this). The cats spawn randomly so just keep trying till you get it.

Once you complete it, you will unlock:

With that you have complete A Castle Full of Cats, congratulations on your new 100% !
